Thank you.
Rachel gave a groan of delight the moment he filled her. Nothing could ever compare to the feeling of her soulmate buried to the hilt inside her and she stayed still for a few seconds to appreciate the moment. Only now did Rachel know just how much she had missed him, missed these intimate moments where she felt so connected to him. Slowly she began to move her hips up to meet his thrusts, a series of gasps and moans dripping from her while she felt her orgasm begin to build. ‘I love you.’ she gasped out, her fingers clasping around his neck as her lips met his in a messy kiss while she wrapped her legs around his lower back so she could take him deeper. The increased fullness was enough to push her over the edge and her walls clenched tightly around his member. ‘Oh god.’ she murmured, her head falling back against the pillow of their new bed and her hands clenched at the sheets. Breathing heavily, Rachel silently watched her boyfriend for a few moments, in her opinion that had been the perfect performance to christen their new bedroom. It was only natural she supposed for them.
Jesse didn’t manage to last long after she did. He thrust forward twice more, as she contracted around him, and then released himself into her with a loud groan. He fell down, slightly off to the side of his girlfriend. “I love you.” Jesse murmured, letting himself slip out of her, so he could roll further off to the side of the bed. Good bed, comfortable bed. “Hey Rach.” Jesse spread his arm out to beckon her closer. “We’re living together.” He smiled and curled his fingers toward her, he needed the warmth of her body. “And you so lost the bet.”
Located in the Theatre District at 1600 Broadway (10016), this 770 sq ft apartment was listed at 985 000 before Jesse St. James snatched it up for his girlfriend and his cohabitation.
For a brief moment Rachel wondered if Jesse’s competitive streak would win out over his desire for her and he would turn around and leave her naked and wanting while he discussed access to the in building gym with the landlord. And then in the same moment she slipped her flimsy underwear down her legs her boyfriend began to approach, stripping himself of his own clothes while Rachel’s eyes darkened with desire. She was panting with need by the time Jesse actually made contact with her, his bare skin pressing against hers and providing her with the connection she had been pining for since they made that stupid bet, still she found time to let a small laugh out. ‘Nope. I was innocently getting ready for a nap, you’re the one who decided we should have sex instead, and I’m afraid you lost.’ Her lips sought his, capturing them in a searing kiss to prevent him from defending himself, while he had danced down his chest, abs and grasped hold of his already hard member. She stroked it slowly, lovingly one, two, three times, her thumb rubbing gently against his tip as precome leaked out. Rachel only managed three strokes before desire overtook her, her insides aching for that perfect friction only Jesse could provide. ‘I need you inside me now.’ Yes the christening of the bed would be relatively quick but they could spend the entire day here ensuring it was thoroughly done and she shivered in anticipation at the very idea.
He’d have plenty to complain about. The bet should have been his the moment she suggested they move to the bedroom. But he found his ability to rebute severely diminished by the presence of her body beneath his, and those tantalizing lips against his. There was nothing to do but return her kiss. The last week had been a nightmare, nothing more than a chaste kiss here or there. Now, Jesse could channel all of the control he’d been exercising over himself into Rachel. He groaned, his voice low against her lips the moment she touched him. It had been too long. Which was absurd, because he’d gone longer without sex before. But Rachel was different. Rachel was his everything. The moment she asked for it, Jesse nodded, and slipped her legs open. No pre-amble today, and he was sure that she wouldn’t mind. In one quick and decisive motion, Jesse was buried deep inside his girlfriend, and their new bed was effectively christened. The new bed that they were going to share together. In this apartment, that was theirs. Jesse moaned loudly, the thought of what had just transpired only fuelling his desire for her as he began to thrust into her.
Jesse made Rachel feel confident enough to do this. Finn may have told her she was sexy but Jesse made her feel like she was. Being was him was intoxicating and Rachel let out a small hmph of annoyance when her little show failed to have the desired effect of Jesse ripping off her remaining fragments of clothing and taking her on their new bed. Instead he was talking about her having a nap. Her lips followed his when he abandoned her on the bed, shifting onto her elbows so she could watch him, her mind momentarily blank as she watched on in horror. Finally her desire broke through her mild panic and she reached back to unhook her bra straps, sliding them down her arms and letting the bra fall away to reveal her breasts. ‘Oh but these sheets are so…’ she writhed enticingly, her eyes flashing with an unspoken challenge for him to say no to her now. ‘soft. I think I’m going to sleep naked.’ Reaching down Rachel hooked her thumbs in her panties and pulled them down her legs slowly, exposing herself fully. ‘Now are you sure you want to go to speak to the landlord?’ Rachel watched him intently for a few seconds before she allowed her whispered plea to escape her lips. ‘Please.’
And he was broken. In that moment, quite a few things happened. Rachel’s underwear came off, Jesse made the final decision to fuck the bet, and his own belt and pants came slipping off. He almost slipped on his way back to the bed while he heeled his shoes off and got the offending fabric away from his legs. “He can wait.” Jesse unbuttoned his shirt quickly, and threw it down onto the floor, before pushing his underwear down, finally kicking it off as he crawled up onto their new bed, over his girlfriend. The bet had been killing him, and he needed this. He needed Rachel. She was the only one who’d ever made him lose complete control like this, she was the one who filled him with desire and made not only his body feel wanted, but his mind and heart as well. And that made her so much better than any of the others over the years. “So this means you lose the bet, right?” He smirked right before their skin touched, their bodies ready to christen the bed, in Jesse’s opinion, rather thoroughly.
Rachel almost giggled when her boyfriend failed to catch onto what she was asking for, what she was giving up, but sudden intrigue to see what exactly he had done to the bedroom stopped up the laughter. Clearly Jesse had dedicated a lot of time and love to this apartment and she was momentarily chastened by her glib treatment of it in preferment of her own desires. ‘I can’t wait to see it.’ The girl followed Jesse through the apartment towards their bedroom, her hand stroking the picture of them in Vegas together lovingly as she passed the wall of them, yet another reminder of the love Jesse was professing with this apartment. ‘Weeks?’ she squeaked out in surprise. ‘Weeks?’ Rachel had barely lasted this long and if she wasn’t standing in an apartment Jesse had designed with his love for her then she may have questioned his attachment to her. As it was she was merely amazed by his self control. The next words, however, came with more serious connotations, they were tantamount to a denial. ‘You don’t want to…’ Suddenly Rachel wasn’t quite as keen to surrender as before. ‘Fine. But seeing as this is our apartment and I’m so hot I think I’ll just take this dress off.’ She breezed into the bedroom, and slowly, ensuring he was in prime view, peeled the tight material away from her soft skin. Once she was left in her underwear Rachel paraded past Jesse and positioned herself onto the bed. ‘I like the room by the way. It’ll be very nice sleeping with you here.’
She’d been so repressed before, so innocent. It was hard to believe that this woman was the same girl he’d encountered not months ago, almost too scared to follow him into the washroom while he dealt with his own needs. This was the same young woman who’d lasted more than three years in a sexless relationship, who now couldn’t go a few days, let alone a week or more without him. Jesse smiled as she brushed past him, his eyes raking her body with each inch of skin that she revealed. “Well if you’re too tired, I’ll let you sleep. I have a few things to discuss with the landlord, anyway.” Jesse hung around the door frame for a moment, his fingers digging into the wood. And then he took a few steps forward and leaned over her for a chaste kiss. “I’ll be back.. soon? If you want to nap.” He wasn’t going to give in. He couldn’t give in. He had self-control.
‘The couch is perfect.’ She smiled at him sadly. ‘I love it. I love everything…’ The money though, for all of this, Rachel just didn’t possess it and that meant her boyfriend was going to have to move in here alone… and then he carried on speaking. Her name was on the deed. They both owned this apartment. If Rachel had needed any further indication of Jesse’s dedication to their future together then this more than provided it. ‘Oh…’ Her hold on him tightened, pressing her body against his as her lips found his again for a short, passionate kiss. ‘You bought me, I mean us, an apartment?’ Her kisses rained down on his lips, each one dripping with the love she felt for the boy who was so dedicated to her and them and… ‘We’re going to live together.’ Rachel squealed.
Maybe she should feel guilty about the money, and yes later Rachel would try to come up with some way she could possibly pay for half but for now she was just so wrapped up in this investment in their future. The investment her hot, wonderful, charming boyfriend had bought them to care too much. ‘Can I see our bedroom now?’ Being pressed up against him like this after what felt like decades apart was already making Rachel uncomfortably hot and she decided she could see the rest of their perfect home later. ‘I want to lose the bet now.’ She could never repay him for how amazing this apartment was, this leap of faith on his part, but she could let him win their little bet.
“It’s not an outlandish place. It wasn’t even that expensive.. and it’s only 1000 square feet.. It’s not.. I mean it’s cozy.” He was babbling now, almost trying to convince himself that she would agree to move in. Her face was a mixture of emotions and Jesse could hardly pick them out in time to react efficiently. Over-whelmed? Sad? Happy? Women. And yet, he had the best one. Because that smile made anything and everything worth it, to him. The only idea that he had was to wake up to that smile every day, now. “So you’ll do it?” He beams, and let his arms finally embrace her properly. “You’ll move here with me?” If she had said no.. Well Jesse wasn’t sure what he would have done. Maybe moved in and redecorated. Although, he’d put so much work in that he wasn’t sure how else the apartment could look. None of that mattered because she had agreed, and he was going to live with her.
He was so happy that her next words didn’t truly register. “Right! The bedroom. I thought you’d really love this one.” Jesse kissed her once more, chastely, and began to separate from her arms so that he could show her the perfect Rachel Berry/Jesse St. James bedroom that he’d managed to design, with some help, of course. And then she continued. “The bet?” He hadn’t even been thinking about that. Although, something in the back of his mind told him that if he’d known this was all it took, he’d’ve brought her here on day one. “And here I was ready to go for another few weeks.” Jesse kissed her again and tugged her back down toward the bedroom. “I’m not even sure this bed needs christening. I mean.. it could wait? No?” He was taunting her now, openly, with a smirk about his features. If she was going to lose, she was going to do it as spectacularly as he was about to win.
‘It’s wonderful.’ Rachel turned to smile back across the room at her boyfriend, her eyes flickering over a wall of pictures some of which looked distinctly like various ones from her childhood. They couldn’t be though, not when Rachel was becoming further convinced with each second that this apartment belonged to his parents. The familiar fluffy haired boy in many of the pictures removing nearly all doubt as her eyes lingered there only long enough to properly acknowledge the ones featuring a young Jesse. ‘Whoever gets to live here is very lucky.’ Their proximity to Broadway was enough to make her envious but this apartment was.. perfect. It would be a long time, possibly she would never achieve it, before Rachel could own an apartment like this.
She felt his presence beside her, her eyes not leaving the spectacular view while her hand reached out to entwine with his. ‘Not…’ Her eyes swept away from the view to meet his, her smile dropping with the next words he spoke. His. The apartment belonged to him and that meant he was moving out. Leaving her. Well, not leaving her exactly but rather than moving closer as she had been wanting to Jesse was moving farther away. Albeit to somewhere spectacular… With her. The smile that had momentarily dropped returned much bigger and brighter than any view would pull out from her. ‘You want me to live with you?’ Rachel let out a high pitched squeal of excitement, launching herself at her boyfriend and kissing him fervently. Her lips previously aching for his only adding to the fervour. ‘Yes, yes, yes!’ She whispered against his lips. The cost of such a place hit her next though and Rachel sagged slightly against his body, her eyes returning to the pictures on the wall, she was on there. The detail Jesse had gone into to perfect this apartment for her was mindblowing but it also meant he had already bought it and her eyes filled with happy tears, tinged slightly with the melancholy of knowing she couldn’t live here with him. ‘But I’m not sure if I can afford this.’
Jesse watched her expectantly as she processed the news. When he smile dropped, the seconds seemed to stretch on for eternity. She was disappointed, she didn’t like it, she didn’t want to move in with him. He was almost ready to drop the key down, and tell her that she didn’t have to say yes, that he wasn’t going to force her to move in with him.. and then she was in his arms. Against his lips. Kissing him for the first time in entirely too long. His arms wrapped around her wait easily, he’d missed this entirely too much. “So you’ll?” Her whispers of yes made him kiss her again, harder. They were going to live together.
And then, she sagged, and it was impossible for him not to notice. “What? What is it? Did I use a catalog you hate? It’s the couch, isn’t it?” He sighed. “I told the woman at the store that it was too much me and not enough you.” Oh. The cost. He shook his head. “It’s paid for Rach.. It’s not rent. I own it.” He furrowed his eyebrows, and cupped her chin so that she would look at him. “Your name is on the deed, actually, as well. So we own it.” So some boyfriends bought jewelry, Jesse bought an apartment. Maybe it had been a bit much, but he wanted her so desperately.
Rachel followed Jesse up Broadway, her expression the epitome of confusion as she weaved in and out of the crowds of people gathering around her favourite part of her city. As natural as it was for her surprise to be here Rachel couldn’t fathom what it could be. There was no big new show for him to surprise her with tickets for, he had been so busy with his thesis that Jesse himself couldn’t have landed a role yet and she certainly hadn’t… Rachel was becoming progressively more frustrated when Jesse pulled her down another block, a small one jammed between Broadway and 7th which she was sure contained no theatres or actual performance venues. The only thing she could laud the tiny block for was its proximity to her true home and the attractive buildings lining the sidewalks. Rachel was baffled as to why they had shot down there.
‘Where are we…?’ The small girl trailed off when they came to a sudden stop in front of an attractive apartment building and she let Jesse guide her in and through the lobby into the elevator. The last time they had been in a building of this calibre they had been in his parent’s apartment. Maybe they had bought another one close to where Jesse would be starring soon, to allow them better access to watch their son. ‘I’m sure I’ll love it.’ Rachel smiled back at him, her puzzlement only growing as she was guided out of the elevator and into an apartment. A gorgeous apartment. The living room alone was the perfect mix of modern, visually pleasing furnishings while still feeling homey. It was a bizarre mixture of Jesse’s tastes and hers that just sort of… worked. And the view… the view through that window. Rachel rushed forward, her nose nearly pressing against the glass as she strained to take in the spectacular view of New York this apartment gave her. Turning back she beamed at Jesse. ‘This is a beautiful home, the view is spectacular… is it your parents?’
Jesse closed the door behind them and took a step back. She was overwhelmed for a moment there, he could see it in her eyes. Hed done his best to furnish it, but his tastes were a bit dark. He’d have to give her his card to put in the finishing touches. “If you don’t like the decor..” He stopped himself. He hadn’t even asked her to move in yet, and he was already blowing it. “So you do like it? The view, and the location? It’s all good?” His smile only widened as she made her way around the apartment. It had taken a few weeks, and a few sneaky pictures of her room to get a sense of her style to give to the decorator. He’d done most of the selection, mind, but there were some things that he just hadn’t understood. Little knick knacks that the woman had told him made a house a home. His favourite was the wall next to the door to the bedroom. PIctures that he’d obtained of Rachel’s childhood, from her fathers, and those that he’d taken from his parent’s flat of his own childhood, all together with an image of them, together in Vegas. Not that she’d seen that. She’d been too excited to see his handy work. Hence.. the question.
“No. Not theirs.” He followed her to the glass of the window, his eyes on the only view that mattered: Rachel’s smile. “It’s mine. I mean..” Ours. “Well it’s mine.” Jesse’s eyes flicked to the window, ad the view. “I was hoping it could be ours.” He ran a hand through his hair before digging down into his pocket for the extra key he’d brought along, in a little envelope that it had come in. “Rachel Berry, would you like to move in with me? Move out with me rather, to here?” He proferred the little envelope towards her, hoping that she would take it. Now was the moment of truth. She could very well storm out right now. She couldn’t be ready for this level of commitment.. Or maybe she would be upset with him for buying a place without consulting her. Did she know the market in the area? Could she guess how much this had cost? His mind was rife with all the ways that she could possibly be upset with him, and hoping desperately for the squeal of joy that meant that she accepted.
‘Ah!’ Rachel scoffed in annoyance, her hands pushing against his chest playfully. She would have slapped him, probably should have slapped him, but a sense of pride over his obvious inability to look at her body clad in such a tight dress prevented her from being too angry. ‘That is no way to treat your girlfriend.’ No, instead he should call off the bet and drag her to bed. That was how she really, really wanted him to treat her. The only comfort she could take was Jesse’s admission of his struggles and she swished her hips past him onto the sidewalk and down the street. ‘Then admit defeat!’ She called back. This was why being with Jesse was so much fun, both expected to win and so the game was just so much more thrilling. It was so fitting that her true soulmate would share her drive and ambition even in such a silly little game.
Rachel hated the subway. It smelled bad and the people were always rude and she’d been flashed one too many times for her to see the romance of riding the famous public transport network of her dream city. When she had arrived all bright eyed and bushy tailed she had come determined to love the subway, to ride it with pride everywhere. The delusion had lasted exactly two stops when at one station drunk man had staggered up to her and suggested she do something very dirty with him. Having Jesse with her made the entire journey slightly better, as she watched with interest as they headed into the theatre district, the only blip being a jolt forcing their bodies together. She was pretty sure Jesse exaggerated the event but she was sure he regretted it, at least he should if he felt the same jolt of desire as she did course through his body. ‘So Mr St James.’ she smiled as they emerged from the underground station. ‘What could we be doing so close to broadway?’ He probably had tickets to a show or… maybe he had rented the St James theatre and they were going to… ‘Seriously where are we going?’ All distress of being in a filthy train forgotten at the thought of the bet ending so spectacularly.
Getting out of the underground was the best thing that they could have done. As smoggy as the city was, the underground just always seemed to stink of piss. Which was something that, even as a native New Yorker, Jesse could not seem to get used to. He watched her face while she took in their surroundings. They’d been there before, of course. But this was completely different. This was going to be his home. Her home, if she agreed to it. “Well, Ms Berry, that’s the surprise.” He led her up Broadway. He’d been here just the other day, to ensure that everything was set up. He’d officially taken control of the unit almost two weeks prior, but he’d been too busy planning for his master’s trial to bother getting everything all set up.
When they reached 48th, He had to tug Rachel’s hand to pull her to the right. It was a tiny block, between Broadway and 7th Avenue, but that made it all the more charming, to him at least. “Here we are.” Jesse stopped outside of a large apartment building. “I’m sorry. You were probably expecting a show.” He led her toward the front door, and took a moment to stare at his phone, to figure out how to get up to the 14th floor. Then, the elevator started to move, and Jesse turned toward his girlfriend with a smile. “I really do hope you like it Rach..”
